INTRO TO ENCAUSTICS - BEGINNER WORKSHOP

A two-day (Saturday & Sunday) workshop for artists new to photo encaustic. Learn the basics of encaustic painting and mixed media.

Workshop Topics:

• Instruction on proper preparation of a panel for painting

• Picking a photo print that will work well with encaustic

• Painting with encaustic

• Plus open studio work time for students

Investment: $500
Workshop includes wax, paints, 2 prints per person, and all materials except panels (students must supply their own 11x14 panels).

Lodging: 1 room available at Leah's home (inquire for pricing and availability). Many local Airbnb's in the area close to studio.

Portfolio Development & Photography Mentorships

A long-term, 10-month learning experience. In-person or via Zoom! Work one-on-one to develop a cohesive, refined body of work using a variety of mixed media and encaustic techniques. The Portfolio Development Mentorship is great for beginners and experienced artists looking to refine their portfolio. Price and availability upon request.
